Kerinci Arabica green beans come from the fertile slopes of Mount Kerinci in West Sumatra, within the protected Kerinci Seblat National Park—one of the most biodiverse regions in Southeast Asia. Grown at altitudes between 1,200 and 1,600 meters, these beans benefit from rich volcanic soil and a cool climate, resulting in a vibrant, complex cup. Known for their medium to high acidity and clean sweetness, Kerinci Arabica often exhibits flavor notes of red berries, citrus, and floral undertones, with a silky body and bright finish. Local farmer cooperatives have adopted more precise post-harvest techniques, including washed and honey processing, to improve cup quality and meet specialty market demands. As an emerging origin, Kerinci is quickly gaining recognition among roasters for its traceable production and unique flavor profile.
